Sourced from the cade juniper of Southern France, this finely ground wood incense carries a deep, resinous aroma. Traditionally used throughout the Mediterranean, cade has long been valued for its ability to purify spaces and create a calm, welcoming atmosphere.

At Aemelia, we chose to work with Artcade because of a shared commitment to quality, traditional craftsmanship, and creating products without unnecessary additives. Their cade powder is made using time-honored methods, with carefully selected juniper wood dried and milled into a soft, aromatic powder.

When burned, it releases a slow, delicate smoke with warm, woody notes and a subtle balsamic depth that lingers gently in the air.

Previously available through Artcade (France only) and Sentjo, now offered through Aemelia.

Curious how to burn cade powder incense in the Eisala Lamp?

Scent

Amber
Warm and resinous with a soft sweetness layered over cade’s natural smokiness.

Musk
Soft and warm, with a subtle, powdery smoothness that rounds out the smoke.

Natural
Pure cade. Smoky, woody, and resinous in its most elemental form.

Orange
Light and uplifting, with gentle citrus brightness over warm, smoky wood.

Oud
Deep and rich, blending dark wood notes with the grounding intensity of cade.

Pine
Crisp and forest-like, combining evergreen freshness with cade’s resinous depth.

Rosemary
Fresh and herbaceous, bringing a clean, clarifying edge to the warm base of cade.

Rose
A soft floral note balanced by the smoky, woody depth of cade.

Crafted from pure cade (juniper) wood, this incense is made from 100% cade juniper wood powder (Juniperus oxycedrus) and lightly scented with natural aromatics, without unnecessary additives. The fragrance is subtle and derived from natural sources such as essential oils, plant-based aromatic extracts, and, in some cases, resins or other botanical compounds, allowing the true depth and character of the cade wood to remain at the forefront.

Place a small amount of cade powder on a flat, heat-safe dish or in your Eisala lamp. Using a small piece of cardboard, gently pinch and shape the powder into a thin line. Light one end, then allow it to smolder. The powder will slowly release a warm, delicate scent into your space.
